In order to support our growth, we would like to expand our fast-growing and motivated team with a senior logistics engineer. As a logistics engineer, you will be responsible for solving complex logistical problems.
About the role
In this role, you will be:
Analyzing current logistics processes (including data analysis) and evaluating the effectiveness of potential future logistics processes;
Using your experience & creativity to draw warehousing layout and run feasibility studies;
Building business cases, including ROI calculations for technology or automation solution that help our client to realize cost-reductions or process-improvements;
Drafting requirements and driving the tendering process (RFI/RFQ) for storage systems, MHE and automation;
Being the key player;
Playing a crucial role in the implementation of the chosen options by aligning closely with the architect and/or suppliers;
Updating the senior management team of our client with progress updates to keep them closely involved & informed.
Requirements
What you bring to the table?
A masterās degree in Engineering (preferably with a technical orientation) or similar relevant education/experience
More than 3 years of experience in logistics as engineer, consultant or manager
You are comfortable with relevant IT-applications (WMS) or logistics automation (AS/RS, conveyors, robotics,ā¦)
Basic knowledge of Autocad and Sketchup (or other 3D software tools) is a plus
A strong focus on quality delivery
A professional attitude, strong communication skills towards the management team as well as the operators
Flexibility to adapt swiftly in new & complex environments.
Willingness to work in team as well as independently
An enthusiastic sense for entrepreneurship
Your native language is Dutch or French and you have an outstanding knowledge in English
